Goodbye Switzerland, Hello Holland

Hello everyone! Again sorry for the delay in posting. I had a wonderful time in Switzerland and arrived in Holland on Saturday April 12. Even though the weather is more like winter than spring, I’m having a great time. The friends I am staying in Holland, the Stelmas, are absolutely wonderful. We spent the first day in their village, Sassenheim, shopping and relaxing. Paula’s husband Jan (J is pronounced like a Y), is a preacher, he did the church service in both Dutch and English, that was very interesting. I was able to follow along enjoyed his messages very much. Monday we took the train into Amsterdam, a big busy city. Enjoyed the day walking around, had lunch, coffee and seeing the sights. Very interesting city. Tuesday we rode bicycles to the beach! Thankfully these are electric bicycles because it is very windy here. You still have to peddle but the little electric motor helps greatly. Beautiful beaches, wonderful lunch, and no accidents! Today we are going to look at the windmills. Oh, the flowers! Unfortunately because of the extended cold weather they’re not in full bloom as they would normally be at this time, but they are still very pretty. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

  2. Hi Rebecca,
I loved the pictures of Switzerland and Holland. I wish Al could see them, but he has a hard time looking on the computer. Several people at Church asked about you and Lidia said to say Hi to you and she misses you. Can’t remember if I told you that Leslie said she lost your Blog site. I know you are having a wonderful time with your friends and seeing all the beautiful sites. It has been in the high 80’s and one day in the 90’s. Still no rain and we need it badly. Keep sending pics!
    Lots of love, Jan
